This policy covers the Charlotte Urbanite website, a local events guide for Charlotte, operated by Events Pro. It does not cover the sites you link out to (organizers, venues, ticketing sites), which have their own policies.
The short version
You can browse Charlotte Urbanite without an account. We don't run advertising or analytics trackers on this site, and it doesn't set cookies. We don't sell your information.
What we collect
Nothing you type into this site: it has no sign-up, comment or booking forms. Like any website, the servers that deliver the pages automatically record standard technical logs: your IP address, the date and time, the page requested and your browser and device type. We use these to keep the site running, secure it and fix problems, and we keep them only as long as needed for that.
Fonts from Google
The site's typefaces are loaded from Google Fonts. When a page loads, your browser requests them from Google, which means Google receives your IP address and browser details. Google's privacy policy explains how it handles that.
Listing an event or emailing us
The "List your event free" button takes you to the Events Pro platform at eventspro.plecco.net. Anything you submit there is covered by the Events Pro Privacy Policy on that site, not this one. If you email guides@plecco.net, we keep the message and your address to answer you and to record corrections and removals.
Links to other sites
When you click through to an organizer's, venue's or ticketing site, their site collects whatever it collects, under its own policy. That includes everything that happens when you buy a ticket.
Who we share with
We don't sell your information. Our hosting and infrastructure providers handle server logs on our behalf. We may disclose information if the law requires it or to protect the site and its users.
Your choices
Because we hold almost no personal information about visitors, there's usually little to delete. To ask what we hold about you or to ask us to delete it, email guides@plecco.net. Your browser settings let you block third-party requests such as fonts.
Children
Charlotte Urbanite is a general-audience events guide and isn't directed at children under 13. We don't knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If we add anything that tracks visitors, such as analytics or cookies, we will update this policy first. The "last updated" date shows the latest version.
